Hi Tim , the idea of focusing on what we can do better in our lives rather than who we are , is a great idea . My issues of self esteem were never related to who I was as a person , I also believed I was a very good ” inside ” human being , in fact I can say I really like myself . My issues have always related to feeling others were more skilled or competent at the job I wanted to do . Had I realised this subtle shift in lens as a young woman I feel I would have achieved much more . Thanks for the post ! I like it that they are short and to the point…. too much to read online these days

Hi Sian, Thank you for that; we can get so caught up in worrying about our subjective qualities. This is a difficulty for people, as there is no way of proving or disproving our beliefs about our looks or personality, so they are hard to usefully challenge. However, the things we do are often subject to evaluation by others and often scored objectively. For example, it makes it hard for us to keep believing we are a poor student if we keep getting good marks.
Thanks for the feedback about length – I like to keep them short too!
